Today, otsoNY celebrates 10 years online. Launched on 1st November 2009, the film location website which originally went by the name ‘On the Set of New York’, now shortened to ‘otsoNY’ now holds over thirteen hundred films with an average of six locations per film title, and in some cases such as ‘Sex and the City’ movie has 39 actual locations.

“The main focus for next year will be updating the film location maps,” says otsoNY’s creator Mark Rogers. “The map of Manhattan will be divided up into at least 10 sections, so that more film titles and their locations can be identified. The maps will still be available for free download.”

The next mile stone for the website is expected to be the 1400th film. “There are new films being shot in New York City every year and there are still plenty of old films being added to the website. I have some other projects to focus on next year, so the updates to otsoNY.com are likely to be less, and I’m also considering removing some of the less popular items.” Mark adds, “The overall design of the website will stay the same for now, and I will attempt to do more on the Social Media side of things in 2020, especially during the visit to New York in the summer.”
