Rebel Returns To New York

2 March 2019

Rebel Wilson returns to New York City in her latest film, “Isn’t It Romantic”. Rebel’s previous New York production was the 2016 “How To Be Single” starring alongside Dakota Johnson and Leslie Mann.

Actress Rebel Wilson

Rebel, who celebrates her 39th birthday today, plays the character of Natalie, a hard-working New York architect trying to get noticed at her job, though she is more likely to deliver coffee and bagels than design the city's next skyscraper. Things go from bad to weird when she gets knocked unconscious during a subway mugging and magically wakes up to find herself in an alternate universe. Always cynical about love, Natalie's worst nightmare soon comes true when she suddenly discovers that she's playing the leading lady in a real-life romantic comedy.

The romantic comedy, which went on general release last month and has similarities to John Candy’s “Delirious” features several New York locations including Washing Square Park, Grove Street, Queensboro Bridge, Bow Bridge and Bethesda Terrace in Central Park as well as Cafe Gitane in Mott Street, and an end dance sequence shot at the corner of East 40th Street and Park Avenue.
