Victoria Justice Poses in New York

3 January 2017

Victoria Justice shot to fame in the children’s TV show, “Victorious”, and is the leading actress in “Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List” one of the many films competing for the celebrated 1200 milestone. Often photographed walking around the streets of New York by the paparazzi, the actress recently posed in New York’s most desirable neighbourhood, Tribeca for a black and white photo-shoot with White Street between numbers 1 and 17 (West Broadway and Church Street) being the chosen backdrop.

Victoria Justice debuted as an actress at the age of ten and has since appeared in several films and television series. She has made appearances in several theatrical releases, including Unknown as well as the 2006 thriller “The Garden”. She has appeared in several Nickelodeon series, including “The Naked Brothers Band”, “True Jackson”, “VP”, “The Troop”, “The Penguins of Madagascar”, and “iCarly”. In 2015, she starred as the lead role in the MTV series, “Eye Candy”, as Lindy, a 21-year-old hacker with a gift for seeing clues and connections in the digital world that others couldn’t. Persuaded by her roommate to try online dating, Lindy began to suspect that one of her suitors was a deadly cyber stalker. When the local cyber-crimes unit uncovered a potential serial killer in Manhattan, all signs pointed to this mysterious stalker. Teaming up with a cyber unit and some hacker friends, Lindy lead the charge to solve these murders while unleashing her own style of justice on the streets of New York City. Several film locations from the TV Show were posted on otsoNY, which included Foley Square, Crosby Street, Centre Street, Mercer Street and Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Click HERE to view.

Aside from acting, Justice is involved in her musical career, and has performed several songs for the soundtrack to the Nickelodeon musical “Spectacular!”, in which she starred. She has also recorded a number of songs for the “Victorious” series. Her musical influences include Madonna, Britney Spears, Pink, Sara Bareilles, The Jackson 5, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Hall & Oates, Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Karen Carpenter, Elton John, Alanis Morissette, Carole King and Diana Ross.

The romantic comedy-drama, “Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List” was written by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer, and directed by Kristin Hanggi. It is based on the 2007 book of the same name by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. Alongside Justice other actors to star in the movie include Pierson Fodé and Matthew Daddario. The movie was shot entirely in New York, and it is expected to have at least 25 film locations revealed when it is posted on otsoNY, which gives it a certain advantage over the other contenders; “Deathtrap” starring Michael Caine; “The Girl on the Train” starring Emily Blunt; “Shelter Island” starring British actress Patsy Kensit; “Maggie’s Plan” starring Julianne Moore; and “Sully” starring Tom Hanks, which tells the heroic story of airline pilot Capt. Chesley ‘Sully’ Sullenberger and his emergency landing on New York's Hudson River after the US Airways Flight 1549 was struck by a flock of geese.

Justice’s next film project “The Outskirts” also has links to New York and is due for release later this year. It is directed by Peter Hutchings and written by Dominique Ferrari and Suzanne Wrubel, and besides Victoria Justice it stars Eden Sher, Ashley Rickards, Claudia Lee, Katie Chang, Peyton List, Avan Jogia and Will Peltz.
