OTSONY to Post Actors Chart

3 February 2012

February 2012 sees the launch of a brand new chart showcasing the actors and actresses who have starred in the most New York based films.

Before this list was compiled, most people would assume that the obvious actor to top the chart would be Woody Allen; linked to New York City through four decades of film-making, Woody Allen has written, produced and directed many films, but actually comes up short in regards to starring in New York based films.

The list of 20 includes Michael Douglas for his chilling performance in the thriller “A Perfect Murder”, as well as Al Pacino in the gangster classic “The Godfather”, Tom Hanks for his charming role in the romantic comedy, “You’ve Got Mail” alongside Meg Ryan, who also appears in the list for obvious reasons for her role in the classic comedy “When Harry Met Sally” and Jessica Alba for her cold heartless performance in the thriller “Awake”.

In December 2011, OTSONY compiled a list of the best 10 Christmas films based in New York. Featured in the chart was the 1947 classic, “Miracle in 34th Street” starring Maureen O’Hara, the Will Ferrell comedy, “Elf”, the Home Alone sequel, “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”, and the romantic masterpiece, “Serendipity”.
