With the world locked down due to the Coronavirus, this Easter bank holiday weekend has at least something to cheer about as 3 new films will be added to otsoNY.

Starting off the long weekend with Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix as failed comedian Arthur Fleck, who seeks a connection as he walks the streets of Gotham City. Arthur wears two masks; the one he paints for his day job as a clown, and the guise he projects in a futile attempt to feel like he is part of the world around him. Isolated, bullied and disregarded by society, Fleck begins a slow descent into madness as he transforms into the criminal mastermind known as the Joker.

And if you don't already know where the famous Joker stairs are, all will be revealed this weekend.

Next up will be Hustlers starring Constance Wu, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo, and Cardi B. The plot follows a crew of strippers in New York City who begin to steal money by drugging stock traders and CEOs who visit their club, then running up their credit cards.

And finally, to top off the Easter holiday Woody Allen’s deleted project A Rainy Day in New York, which starred a host of famous names of which includes Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, and Jude Law, with a story that followed two young people who visit New York City for a weekend of adventures in bad weather. The film was completed in 2018, but its distributor Amazon Studios halted the release of the film following controversy regarding Allen and the #MeToo movement.
