Next Tuesday marks the 11th anniversary of New York’s darkest day. The official 9/11 Memorial website will provide a live webcast of the New York City ceremony marking the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The live webcast will begin at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2012.

President Barack Obama marked the eleventh anniversary of 9/11 in his weekly address. He said the decade since the attacks had been a difficult one,but encouraged Americans to see this year's anniversary as a chance to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Obama also commended the building of One World Trade Center, the skyscraper being built in New York City to replace the twin towers."Today, a new tower rises above the New York skyline. And our country is stronger, safer and more respected in the world," Obama said.
