The first episode of the long awaited mini-series "And Just Like That" aired on HBO last night and included several New York locations, and with the opening scene filmed at restaurant at the corner of Gansevoort Street and Washington Street, the same restaurant that was used in the 2016 Christmas movie "Collateral Beauty" starring Will Smith, Kate Winslet and Edward Norton.

The plot for the first episode has Carrie, Charlotte, and Miranda as tight as ever, but Samantha, having fallen out with Carrie after being dismissed as her book publicist, moved to London and cut off contact with everyone. Ever-squabbling Stanford and Anthony remain close to the girls, and Bitsy Von Muffling reveals that Bobby Fine has died. Carrie, happily married to John "Big", is a regular participant on an LGBTQ-friendly, sex-oriented podcast hosted by Che Diaz, a non-binary comedian.

Another location used in the first episode was 6th Avenue near to Radio City Music Hall, with further scenes shot at Smith's Bar Restaurant at 701 8th Avenue, and briefly appeared in the 2010 comedy "Morning Glory" starring Rachel McAdams.

The Lyceum Theater on Broadway appeared near end of the first epsiode. It is one of the oldest theatres in New York and was originally built in 1903.
