In spring of 2023, the psychological thriller "Inside", written by Ben Hopkins and directed by Vasilis Katsoupis was released in cinemas. The film follows a high-end art thief named Nemo, played by Willem Dafoe, who is trapped in a penthouse in New York City during his heist which doesn’t go as planned.

Although the film was based in New York City, it was in fact shot in Germany as such will not join the list of films on otsoNY. Germany is a Western European country and well known for its landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges, and North Sea beaches, and has never been a stand-in for New York. In most cases, film-makers who are trying to save money tend to shoot in Canada or even Manchester and Liverpool in England, which was where some of the scenes from the remade "Alfie" were shot.

Filming of "Inside" was wrapped up on 1st June 2021 after a Covid-safe seven-week shoot at Cologne’s MMC TV & Film Studios.
