New York Film Locations

That Was 2016

12 December 2016

2016 has been an incredible year for the website and has seen an increase of daily visitors between six and seven thousand unique hits a day, and between three hundred thousand and five hundred thousand hits a day, which roughly equates to between sixty five thousand and as seen in November, one hundred thousand unique hits each month.

This year, the website design changed slightly with adverts on both sides of the page with the main content staying the same, all surrounded a photographic backdrop of New York’s Central Park in the winter. Due to time retrains, there were fewer News Stories than in previous years and otsoNY officially quit Twitter, though there was time to revisit the films 13 Going on 30, American Hustle and Cloverfield, and as a festive offering, otsoNY will be revisiting the original 1984 “Ghostbusters” film as well as “Cruel Intentions”, and the Christmas classic “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” later this month.

Looking ahead to 2017, otsoNY is expected to pass yet another milestone as there are just 6 more film titles required to reach the total of 1200 films, but what film will grab the famous marker, previous winners have included “Like Sunday, Like Rain” and “Now You See Me”, and “The Amazing Spider-Man” being crowned 1000th film.

And finally, a very special thank you for Bob for the continued help with missing film locations and allowing otsoNY to link to his album cover website “PopSpots”.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
