Dior Lipstick Advert in NYC

The new Dior advert sees British model Cara Delevingne back in New York City having been chosen to represent the famous brand’s new lipstick campaign.

Delevingne is a model and actress, who has walked catwalks for numerous fashion houses and been on the cover of many magazines worldwide. She recently began her acting career, appearing in films such as “Suicide Squad,” “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets” and “Her Smell.” Upcoming for Delevingne is the show “Carnival Row” in 2019.

As the face of the new Dior Addict Stellar Shine lipstick campaign, which has the strapline “Be Dio. Be Pink”, Cara Delevingne appears in the sixty-second advert wearing an variety of stylist outfits, of which include a vintage pink dress and is seen posing at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Central Park South, as well as on Park Avenue near East 50th Street.

In the past couple of years, Cara has turned her attention to movies, and has appeared in several, including “Her Smell” playing a punk rocker alongside lead actress Elisabeth Moss; “London Fields” alongside Amber Heard, who plays clairvoyant femme fatale Nicola Six, who has been living with a dark premonition of her impending death by murder; and more recently “Life in a Year”, which was shot in Ontario in Canada and due for release later this year. The movie follows 17-year-old Daryn, played by Jaden Smith who finds out that his girlfriend Isabelle, played by Cara is dying, and so sets out to give her an entire life in the last year she has left.

At a young age, Clara attended Frances Holland School for Girls near Sloane Square, and later, she went to the boarding school, Bedales. Much of her ancestry is English. One of her maternal great-great-grandfathers, Sir Lionel Lawson Faudel Faudel-Phillips, 3rd Baronet, was from a Jewish family (from Germany and Poland), and was the grandson of a Lord Mayor of London (1896/1897), Benjamin Samuel Phillips. Cara also has Welsh, Dutch, German, French, Scottish, Jersey (Channel Islander), and Irish ancestry, and Canadian-born forebears.

Her first appearance was in Vogue Italia at age 10, shot by Bruce Weber. In March 2017, she announced that she has written a novel called "Mirror, Mirror", a coming-of-age story. It was published in October 5th 2017. Her younger sister of Poppy Delevingne is also an actress.

The Dior collection consists of twenty-four shades, which includes four pink shades and three different shine finishes such as Glazed, Sparkle and Mirror.
