Madea's Witness Protection (2012)

Last Updated: Feb 2013

For years, George Needleman (Eugene Levy), the gentle CFO of a Wall Street investment bank, has been living with his head in the clouds. But George is finally forced to wake up when he learns that his firm, Lockwise Industries, has been operating a mob-backed Ponzi scheme - and that he's been set up as the fall guy. Facing criminal charges and death threats from the mob, George and his entire family are put under witness protection in the safest place that Brian (Tyler Perry), a federal prosecutor from Atlanta, can think of... His Aunt Madea's house down South.

otsoNY Comments: We are supposed to believe that the characters are about to check into a New York hotel, and given that the reverse camera angle shows 5th Avenue and the Grand Army Plaza Sherman Monument, you'd be forgiven for thinking that as this is where the world famous Plaza hotel stands. But, when the camera angle switches back to the hotel entrance, it is clearly not the entrance to the Plaza.

Grand Army Plaza and Central Park South, Manhattan.
