Additional Film Locations: Suburban Girl

Archie Knox lives in a beautiful townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He is a reformed alcoholic and has now been sober for 3 years. He suffers from diabetes and has a estranged daughter. Recently, he has met and fallen for Brett Eisenberg, an ambitious yet unconfident young New York assistant book editor. The age-gap btw Brett and him is made clear through their different lifestyles, such as his lack of understanding how to use a Blackberry and Brett taking him to a candy shop. Although this does not affect their relationship.

otsoNY Comments: The property was used for interior and exterior shots and still looks the same as it did in the film, minus the two wall ornaments. This is not the first time that a property on East 61st Street has been featured in a film. In 1955, Marilyn Monroe graced the steps of 146 in the classic romantic comedy, “The Seven Year Itch”. Archie Knox’s townhouse actually stands opposite the famous building and is still there for fans to see.

The property at 159 East 61st Street has approximately 6,321 square feet and was built in 1899. The average list price for similar homes for sale is $17,795,208 and the average sales price for similar recently sold homes is $11,065,833.
