Additional Film Locations: You've Got Mail

Kathleen Kelly lives on the Upper West Side in a beautifully decorated brownstone. It is neat and tidy and everything has its place. When she is not working at the bookstore "The Shop Around The Corner", Kathleen will be using her laptop, chatting online to user NY152, whom she doesn't realise is the screen name of Joe Fox, the man who runs a successful chain of bookstores and who is about to put her out of business by opening up a Fox Books nearby to her shop.

otsoNY Comments: The property on West 89th Street was only used for exterior shots. All interior shots were done on a large sound stage located in New Jersey. Today, the brownstone is still there for fans to see minus the door entry intercom.

Katheen's a home is a charming blend of Shabby Chic and Laura Ashley featuring a large living area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

The actual property on West 89th Street has an entry foyer, a windowed eat-in kitchen, basket weave oak flooring, one and a half baths, each with a window. East, west and southern exposures fill this quiet apartment with light. Located in a pre war coop with a live-in super, laundry and storage in the building. The Riverside Park is just a short 5 minute walk away.
