DKNY Underwear Commercial in Manhattan
Back in the early part of 2017, model turned movie star Emily Ratajkowski was chosen as the new face for DKNY’s Spring/Summer advertising campaign.
Introducing the new DKNY 2017 intimates, hosiery and sleepwear campaign, titled #GoodMorningDKNY, the campaign was shot by fashion photographer and videographer, Sebastian Faena. Besides printed and online material, Emily Ratajkowski, known for her role in “Gone Girl” was also featured in a 40 second advert which was shot in New York’s West Village.
The opening shot saw Emily, half covered and asleep in her bed until she was awoken by her pet dog eager to go for a walk. Undeterred by the fact that she was only wearing underwear, Emily got up, grabbed the dog’s lead and promptly exited her apartment building, passing several people on the way down the stairwell. On leaving the building, she casually strolled along the street with her dog to the amusement of several passersby, including a taxi driver who eventually crashes his cab having not been able to take his eyes off Emily.
The actual street on which the final scene of the advert was shot was Bedford Street at the corner of Commerce Street, and where Emily’s apartment building exterior doorway was in fact the side door for Casa restaurant at 72 Bedford Street.
