The multigenerational romantic comedy “Maybe I Do” features several references to New York City, though the film-makers never actually shot any scenes there, and in fact most of the production time was spent in New Jersey shooting in Essex, Union, Hudson, and Passaic Counties. The movie was shot primarily in Montclair, at homes on Mountain Avenue and Edgemont Road, and at The George and MC Hotels.

The movie stars Emma Roberts as Michelle whose relationship with Allen played by Luke Bracey is at a crossroads. So they decide to invite their parents to finally meet. But it turns out that their parents already know each other, maybe a little too well.

The opening scene of “Maybe I Do” shows the exterior of Vancouver’s Fairmont Hotel at 900 West Georgia Street and what looks to be a wedding reception inside one of it many entertaining rooms, though there no scenes shot inside the building.
