A Castle For Christmas Film Location
Actress Brooke Shields returned to our Netflix television screens this month with the festive offering "A Castle For Christmas". Directed by Mary Lambert and starring alongside Shields in this 2021 comedy is Cary Elwes, Lee Ross and Drew Barrymore. The story follows bestselling American author Sophie Brown played by Shields, who travels to Scotland to escape the scandal of her last book. She visits the ancestral village of her father, whose own father worked as a groundskeeper at the estate of a nearby castle. While there, she ends up falling in love with the castle, Dun Dunbar, but must also face off with the ill-tempered duke who owns it. The opening scene of the film features a television interview on the real Drew Barrymore chatshow, which is distributed by CBS Media Ventures and debuted on 14th September 2020. The actual show is shot at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. This was the only scene filmed in New York. Other Brooke Shields New York-based films include "Black and White" from 1999, and "Endless Love" from 1981. |
