In 1984 New York, Neapolitan dreamer Nino (Nino D'Angelo) scrapes by as a milkman while longing to return home. He befriends Matumba (Yawe Davis), a struggling door-to-door salesman with a gift for boxing, and the two hatch small schemes to impress Anna (Claudia Vegliante)and her friend Lucy (Maria Chiara Sasso). When nightclub owner Sammy discovers Matumba’s talent, he arranges an illicit bout against a state champion. As Nino finds work as a restaurant singer and falls for Anna, he bets on his friend’s victory—winning enough money to finally make his way back to Naples.
