In New York, the simple and naive just-graduated in journalism Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is hired to work as the second assistant of the powerful and sophisticated Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the ruthless and merciless executive of the Runway fashion magazine. Andrea dreams to become a journalist and faces the opportunity as a temporary professional challenge. The first assistant Emily (Emily Blunt) advises Andrea about the behavior and preferences of their cruel boss, and the stylist Nigel helps Andrea to dress more adequately for the environment. Andrea changes her attitude and behavior, affecting her private life and the relationship with her boyfriend Nate, her family and friends. In the end, Andrea learns that life is made of choices. |

otsoNY Comments: 129 East 73rd Street recently exited the catwalk for $26.5 million. The Manhattan twnhouse that doubled for Miranda Priestly's residence in "The Devil Wears Prada" has a particularly eye-catching spiral staircase, a living room which boasts two fireplaces, custom bookshelves and arched French doors. The dining room is spotlighted by a cerulean blue chandelier, whilst the primary bathroom hosts a soaking tub beneath an oculus window. Other features of the townhouse include an indoor basketball court and roof terrace sporting a hot tub.

otsoNY Comments: This scene was shot inside the King Cole Bar at the St. Regis hotel. The elegance and grandeur of early 20th-century Neww York are celebrated in this historic bar, which has delighted patrons for decades.

otsoNY Comments: The cafe at 921 Broadway has since closed down and over the years the corner venue has been many different things, hosting other cafe and refreshment retailers, and even Flying Tiger Copenhagen leased the space for a while.
