Millie (Sydney Sweeney) is a young woman struggling to rebuild her life after a troubled past, who takes a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy and seemingly perfect Winchester family. Working inside their luxurious, high-tech home, Millie is initially grateful for the fresh start, quickly forming a connection with the charming but reserved Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar) while helping care for the couple’s young daughter. However, the household’s polished image begins to crack as Millie encounters increasingly unsettling behaviour from Nina Winchester (Amanda Seyfried), whose unpredictable mood swings, manipulative tendencies, and disturbing demands create a tense and hostile working environment. As Millie uncovers hidden rooms, surveillance systems, and fragments of Nina’s mysterious past, she realises the family is concealing far darker secrets than she first imagined.
